It's a dull rainy day in the North of England, but inside my studio a tin of bright wax pastels calls to me, time to get the party birds out and remind yourself that the rain will stop and what's more it's needed, it can't be sunny all the time can it?

Always hand finished, I can't resist adding detail to this pretty flock.
